The speaker Renee How studied architecture and practised as architect for two years before deciding in 1999 to leave for Kazakhtan to volunteer with an NGO organization in community developement. She returned to Singapore in 2007 to obtain her MBA, and worked in China before moving back to Kazakhstan in 2015.
